Prometheus Shrugged
How about a quote from everyone's favorite beach read, Atlas Shrugged?
"John Galt is Prometheus who changed his mind. After centuries of being torn by vultures in payment for having brought to men the fire of the gods, he broke his chains—and he withdrew his fire—until the day when men withdraw their vultures."
So says Frisco to Slug. But why would Ayn Rand have the super smart Francisco D'Anconia say such a thing? Did Rand not know that Prometheus was punished by Zeus rather than men? You were probably horrified when Mel Brooks had young doctor Prometheus steal the gods' fire from a passing thunderstorm in order to animate a fucking corpse. It is called artistic license, you retarded scrunt.
Of course Rand was familiar with the myth of Prometheus. After all, she named a character Prometheus in an earlier book. Taking artistic license, she reworked the myth so the modern Prometheus, the man of the mind, is punished by men for his discoveries of science and inventions of technology. I can't wait for your insightful analysis of a little book by Mary Shelley.
If you managed to read Atlas Shrugged three times without understanding it, I can not take seriously anything you write about Ayn Rand. You fucking moron, you couldn't find your ass if given a flashlight, a map and a three day head start. I can't take seriously anything you write on any subject.
